Hi! Love your reading street ideas! I was trying to access your TPT page but I couldn't find the Question of the Day posts. What did I do wrong?! Thanks!

Hi,

I saw a copy of your ROLL AND ANSWER Literacy Station and LOVED it. Where did you get the containers with the 6 compartments that you used? The labels fit perfectly and I wanted to make sure I used the right ones. Thanks!

Hi Leslie Ann!
I have been eagerly waiting for the unit 5 decodable reading comprehension sheet!!! Thank you, thank you! I actually switched my homework around to use them. The kids sentence writing has really improved! I model on the homework sheet how I'd like them to answer in a complete sentence (also really good for the parents to see what I am looking for)! We love them!! I can not wait to get to school tomorrow and print them out!! LIfe in First Grade saved me yet again!! :) thank you!!

I am a Scotts Foresman user as well. I am on my county's curriculum writing team and we moving away from it (so sad because I love it). Next year, we will only be using Scott Foresmans for phonics and grammar. We are recreating a reading comprehension framework. My questions is, how do your school make Scott Foresman more rigourous.

I am in love with your blog. I am going to start using more of the Reading Street program and I love your decodable reading lessons. I was unable to find the Unit 2 though :( I know you had posted that you were still working on it. Is that something that is still to come? Or am I just not looking in the right place? Your work is awesome and I can't wait to use some of it during the school year!

Hi Leslie Ann,
I feel like I know you!! I am very sad for me and for my future students that you will be moving to 5th!! AHHH- panic! I will make sure our 5th grade teachers follow you! I love your stuff! Which leads me to ask you for some advice. I have been trying and putting in long hours trying to teach myself how to create some materials similar to things you have created (backgrounds, graphics etc.). Im an old teacher but I am very new to this whole thing (tpt, blogging, programs to help me create). I am failing miserably!! I was hoping you can give me some tips on programs to use on my Macbook. Do you all go to workshops to learn how to create these lessons and if so how do I join? I also am interested in if you have a school webpage for parents. It was mandatory for me to start one last year but that too is frustrating trying to get information on the site. I am trying to incorporate some "flipped" style videos. So do you just have this blog and or do you have a webpage for parents and what do you use for that? My school uses teaherweb. Any tips you can give me would be so appreciated! Thank you for all your hard work and for inspiring old teachers like me!! Happy summer!!
