The new school year is almost here! The teachers go back tomorrow and we have Meet Your Teacher Night Thursday Night. I cannot wait to meet my new kids! I have almost got everything in the classroom done, which is a record for me...I'm usually finishing things up the afternoon of Meet Your Teacher Night so I'm three days ahead of schedule! :) Here's my new door that I finished just this afternoon. The cupcakes will have my kids' names on them, just haven't done that yet!
One of the girl cupcakes
And one of the boys
I found these cute cupcakes on Pinterest, but I never could find the original link. If this fabulous creation is yours, please let me know so I can give you credit!
I also set up my coffee station. My mom got a Keurig a while back and I just love it! So of course I had to get one for my classroom. Any other Keurig coffee makers out there?? If you don't have one of these fabulous machines, you must go out right now and get yourself one! They are wonderful!!!
They brew coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in under a minute. My favorites are Starbucks Blonde Veranda, Twinings English Breakfast Tea (anyone else think of 50 Shades of Grey whenever they see this tea??) and Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate. There's also a Southern Sweet Tea that is really good that I need to pick up.
And I finished the outside of my classroom:
You need to try the mocha k-cups! They are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove your door!
I love following along as you update your classroom! I've been getting some great ideas for my own classroom.
ReplyDeleteI *think* the cupcakes came from Amy Lemons. I used them last year for my birthday display and they looked JUST like those! :)
Awwww....your door is absolutely too cute!

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I just LOVE your door and I think I am going to have to steal the idea. :) Secondly, I LOVE my Keurig machine. It has been sitting my classroom for 2 years now and I don't think I could make it through the day without my extra cup of joe!

SWEETNESS!!! Great job!! Stop by and visit anytime! SMILES
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteI love your door I am so jealous. We are not allowed to put anything on our door but the lockdown cards. We also are not allowed any electrical equipment beyond tech tools for classroom. Very frustrating. I had to sneak in the hot glue gun last year for our ocean project. I would def have a Keurig in my class. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love your cupcakes! They are absolutely adorable! My class from last year got me a Keurig for my classroom. I have no idea where to put it though. I don't have any counter space. I love my Keurig at home.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the door! It is so stinkin' cute!

ReplyDeleteThe cupcakes are adorable! And I'm jealous of your Keurig in your classroom! We have one at home and my husband and I use it alll the time, even though neither of us drinks coffee! He makes iced tea and I like the hot chocolate and apple cider.

The cupcakes look really cute right there! Your kids will surely love your front door with those cupcakes! Great thing that you were able to finish everything in advance before the kids come. BTW, those hot drinks seem to be very tempting! :)

Great move with the door! Doors say a lot about the things on its other side. : ) I wish all the teachers are like you, who would think of how their students could learn and develop as good individuals in a fun and motivating way.

You did all of these by yourself? Nice! You had been really ready for the first day of school, eh? Your students must have really loved that door that you designed just for them. The cupcakes are really adorable, and I think it has the capability of giving every student a smile on their faces. =) GOOD JOB!
